Professional Bio
Dr. Johnson is a family physician with a passion for making high quality, evidence-based medicine available to everyone. Dr. Johnson completed medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2011, residency at the University of Virginia Family Medicine Residency Program in 2014, and the Faculty Development Fellowship at UVA in 2015. She stayed on as faculty with the UVA's Family Medicine Residency Program until 2022, when she returned to her home state of Pennsylvania and became faculty with Forbes Family Medicine Residency Program. Driven by a desire to maintain access to broad scope primary care services in the face of a shifting care environment, Dr. Johnson launched Monroeville Direct Primary Care in 2025. Her clinical background includes outpatient and inpatient care, care of immigrants and refugees, and care for individuals from marginalized identities. Her academic interests include evidence-based medicine and the role of structural inequities in the development of health disparities.
