Professional Bio
Kelsey J. Smith, MD is a board-certified family physician and owner of Pioneer Health DPC in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She has practiced medicine in the Stillwater community since 2007 and founded Pioneer Health Direct Primary Care in 2021.
Dr. Smith earned her undergraduate degree in Physiology with Honors from Oklahoma State University before receiving her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her Family Medicine residency and Obstetrics fellowship through the University of Oklahoma in Tulsa.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Smith serves as President of the Direct Primary Care Alliance and is passionate about mentoring medical students and advocating for the physician-patient relationship. Her professional interests include preventive medicine, women's health, chronic disease management, procedures, and helping patients achieve long-term wellness through practical, relationship-based care.
Dr. Smith and her husband, Duane, have two children and are active members of their local community and church.

Dr. Kelsey Smith - I became a physician because I value meaningful relationships and the opportunity to walk alongside people through each stage of life. Having practiced family medicine in Stillwater since 2007, I transitioned to Direct Primary Care in 2021 because I wanted to spend more time caring for patients and less time navigating administrative obstacles.
I believe medicine works best when it is built on trust, access, and honest communication. Whether we're discussing prevention, managing chronic disease, caring for a growing family, or navigating life's unexpected challenges, my goal is to provide thoughtful, evidence-based care tailored to the individual sitting in front of me.
Family medicine has given me the privilege of caring for multiple generations of families, mentoring future physicians, and serving my community in ways I never imagined when I began this journey. I consider it an honor to be trusted with that responsibility.

Pioneer Health DPC is a membership-based family medicine practice in Stillwater, Oklahoma, providing comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages. Founded in 2021 after nearly two decades in traditional insurance-based medicine, Pioneer Health was created to restore the physician-patient relationship by removing unnecessary barriers and focusing on accessible, personalized care.
