Professional Bio
Dr. McFarlane-Parrott is an internist currently working at Heron Creek DPC in Okemos, Michigan.
Throughout his academic career, the doctor earned a Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Creighton University and Michigan State University.
Prior to his work in direct patient care, Dr. McFarlane-Parrott held the position of Assistant Professor of Medicine at Michigan State University from December 2013 to December 2017. This role showcased not only clinical expertise but also a dedication to educating the next generation of medical professionals. Additionally, he served as a Staff Physician at Lansing Urgent Care in Lansing, Michigan, from October 2018 to March 2020.

My hope is to provide my patients with a true medical home where the collaborative relationship between the patient and physician is the cornerstone of preventive care and the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
Practice Overview
As the collaborative relationship between patients and their physician in many cases is broken, Heron Creek Direct Patient Care provides a solution to today’s health care landscape. We are stepping outside of the mainstream health environment to return to the roots of true, comprehensive health care, the patient-physician relationship. Heron Creek DPC is our effort to provide you with a true medical home and reestablish this interaction. By doing this, a number of things that are impossible in the traditional insurer-payee system become possible with DPC.
