Professional Bio
Dr. Brian Juan (MD, FAAFP) is a graduate of the University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed his residency training at Southern Colorado Family Medicine. DPC Practicing Physician - New Practice
Personal Statement
I am a board-certified family physician based in Longmont, Colorado, with nearly a decade of experience in outpatient primary care and clinical medical education. After nine years practicing comprehensive family medicine within a large integrated health system — and serving as clinical liaison for the University of Colorado School of Medicine's Longitudinal Integrated Curriculum — I opened Metronome Family Medicine in June 2026.
My path to Direct Primary Care was driven by a simple recognition: the medicine I wanted to practice couldn't happen in a 7-minute appointment. DPC restores what fee-for-service takes away — time with patients, continuity of relationship, and the space to keep learning.
My clinical interests include midlife hormone optimization for women and men, metabolic health and GLP-1 therapy, thyroid care, gender-affirming hormone care, mental health and ADHD, and full-scope family medicine without obstetrics. I approach care as a collaboration, drawing on both conventional and functional medicine frameworks and staying genuinely curious about emerging evidence.
In a previous life I was a professional musician — international touring keyboardist and singer/songwriter. The discipline, creativity, and attunement to rhythm that music requires deeply inform how I show up for my patients.
