Membership Requirements

Membership in the DPC Alliance requires the member to be a physician, medical student or resident-physician who...

Completes our membership application.
Holds an MD or DO degree, or is enrolled in medical school (MD or DO) or residency training program
Practices (or training to practice) a broad scope of medical care that encompasses "primary care" services that includes but is not limited to: prevention, acute care, and chronic disease management. Specialties that would cover this gamut would generally be Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics, but exceptions may be made.
Practices* (or considering/planning to practice) in a "Direct Primary Care" model as described by Eskew et al:

charges a fixed periodic fee for primary care services;
does not bill any third parties on a fee-for-service basis; and
any per-visit charges are less than the monthly equivalent of the periodic fee.

DPC Physician Member $500.00 (USD), prorated to $333.33 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st Automatic renewal (recurring payments) DPC Physician Members are those that are currently and actively practicing in a direct primary care setting.

DPC Physician Member (Monthly) - $48.00 (USD) Subscription period: Monthly Automatic renewal (recurring payments) DPC Physician Members are those that are currently and actively practicing in a direct primary care setting.

DPC-Interested Physician Member $500.00 (USD), prorated to $333.33 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st Automatic renewal (recurring payments) DPC-Interested Physician Members are those that are:
- In the process of considering moving to direct primary care;
- In the process of planning and/or opening their DPC practice; or
- No longer practicing in a DPC setting due to retirement.

Please note, as per the bylaws of the Direct Primary Care Alliance, only members actively practicing in a DPC setting can cast a vote in our annual elections for Board and Officer positions.

DPC-Interested Physician Member (Monthly) - $48.00 (USD) Subscription period: Monthly Automatic renewal (recurring payments) DPC-Interested Physician Members are those that are:
- In the process of considering moving to direct primary care;
- In the process of planning and/or opening their DPC practice; or
- No longer practicing in a DPC setting due to retirement.

Medical Student - Free Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments Medical students interested in pursuing a career in primary care are eligible to get a dues-free membership with the Direct Primary Care Alliance.

Non-Member - Free Subscription period: Unlimited To maintain our events as physician-only we require everyone to submit basic information to confirm they are a physician before they can register for an event.

Resident - Free Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments This is free membership category so that any primary care residents can get access to Direct Primary Care Alliance resources. Dues-free membership will be extended up to six-months after completion of residency.
