Executive Director

The DPC Alliance is looking for its first Executive Director; below is the description of the position. The Board of Directors is accepting applications for this position through November 1, 2019 with an expected start date of early 2019. Responsibilities

Board Governance: Works with Board of Directors to fulfill the organization mission.

  • Supports and guides the organization’s mission as defined by the Board of Directors.

  • Communicating effectively with the Board and providing all information necessary for the Board to function properly and to make informed decisions.

  • Report to and work closely with the Board of Directors to seek their involvement in policy decisions and fundraising.

Financial Planning: Monitors financial health of the organization.

  • Create annual budget and monthly financial statements which reflect the financial condition of the organization.

  • Responsible for fiscal management that generally anticipates operating within the approved budget, ensures maximum resource utilization, and maintenance of the organization in a positive financial position.

  • Assist in fundraising and developing other financial resources

Organization Mission and Strategy: Works with board and staff to ensure that the mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning and community outreach.

  • Responsible for implementation and guidance of teams and programs

  • Responsible for identifying any problem areas of implementing programs and reporting those to the board

  • Establish and maintain relationships with various professional organizations utilize those relationships to strategically enhance Alliance’s Mission.

  • Responsible for the enhancement of Alliance’s image by being active and visible in the health care community

  • Review and approve contracts for services.

Professional Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s or higher degree

  • Transparent and high integrity leadership

  • Financial management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and reporting

  • Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation

  • History of working with medical professionals, preferably physicians in an organizational capacity.

  • Skills to collaborate with and motivate board members and other volunteers

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Strong public speaking ability

Commitments and Compensation

  • Part time position (approximately 20 hours/week in 2019) with expected transition to full time as the organization grows.

  • Paid as independent contractor (1099) at hourly wage of $30-40/hr; negotiable based on skills and experience.

  • The Alliance does not have offices or a physical location at this time, so the Executive Director will primarily be working from their place of residence.

  • If travel is required any expenses incurred will be reimbursed.
